As you consider joining TriBal I would like to go through with you some of the basic principles that guide how we coach and manage our athletes.
At TriBal we have created a training atmosphere that is welcoming to everyone, fun yet challenging, one that will leave you with a positive experience, regardless of fitness or level of experience. We approach the training and fitness requirements of each member in a similar manner, regardless of athletic aspirations, ability or experience. While programs will vary from athlete to athlete, they are all based on the same principles and philosophy.
The TriBal fitness philosophy is built on the concept of developing an individual's aerobic system. A strong aerobic engine is paramount to achieving a higher level of fitness without the potentially detrimental effects of excessive high-intensity training. In essence, you achieve more and gain more with less pain. This approach adheres to the knowledge that success in all endurance activities requires a well-developed aerobic system. Only when this is achieved does the athlete move into the next phase of strength/endurance and speed/endurance, and then finally into the pre-race and race phases.
Training should be a positive addition to your whole lifestyle, as opposed to a cumulative stress element that wears you down. Mind and body should welcome the training and leave you feeling better than when you began. We, therefore, encourage this aerobic training around other core life factors that help one establish the optimum platform for athletic and personal success: health and fitness, nutrition, rest and recovery, education and awareness, and an active social life.
Finally, we are constantly reviewing the latest news with respect to training innovation and evidence in order to update our sessions and techniques.
We look forward to working with you to achieving your goals and aspirations and celebrating the achievement of milestones over the coming months.
